Unidentified Motorcyclist Pronounced Dead after Big-Rig Accident near Oakland Road
SAN JOSE, CA (September 4, 2024) – One rider was killed early Thursday afternoon, in a motorcycle crash at the 1100 block of Old Bayshore Highway.
Police officers arrived to the scene around 12:24 p.m., near Oakland Road.
Investigators say a big-rig had collided with a motorcyclist in the area. The specific details leading up to the crash are still under active investigation. The truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
Despite emergency responders’ efforts, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police officers have not yet released the individual’s name or residence. San Jose officers closed both directions of Old Bayshore Highway from 10th Street to Gish Road following the incident.
