Rider Hospitalized after Collision at Dutch Slough in Bethel Island

BETHEL ISLAND, CA (September 23, 2021) – Monday afternoon, a motorcyclist was airlifted after a motorcycle crash on Bethel Island Road.

The collision happened at 12:37 p.m., on September 20. Officers responded to the scene on Bethel Island Road at Dutch Slough shortly after.

According to the CHP, they received reports of collision between a car and a motorcycle in unincorporated Contra Costa County near Bethel Island.

Emergency crews responded to the crash and found the motorcyclist on the ground with possible internal injuries. Medics then airlifted the victim to John Muir Medical Center for treatment.

Authorities withheld the identity of the driver pending notification of kin.

At this time, alcohol or illegal substances were not considered to be factors in this accident. However, an active investigation into the motorcycle crash on Bethel Island Road is underway.
