33-Year-Old Male Rider Hurt in Suspected DUI Crash near State Route 79

AGUANGA, CA (August 16, 2022) – Tuesday afternoon, authorities airlifted one rider following a motorcycle collision on State Route 317.

The collision happened around 2:45 p.m., near State Route 371 and State Route 79.

Police said the 33-year-old male rider of a Yamaha sport bike rode through the State Route 371 intersection while traveling northbound on State Route 79.

Furthermore, the rider crashed into the driver’s side of a Jeep Cherokee, making a left turn onto the 371.

Eventually, the motorcyclist was ejected from their bike, leaving him with significant injuries. Paramedics airlifted the victim to Wildomar’s Inland Valley Medical Center for further treatment.

Meanwhile, the 65-year-old female Jeep driver from Aguanga escaped unharmed.

At this time, no arrests were made, but authorities said intoxication might have played a role in the crash. The California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the impact on State Route 317.
