18-Year-Old Ricky Alvarez Charged after Accident near 10 Freeway in Ontario

ONTARIO, CA (May 17, 2021) – Monday morning, Ricky Alvarez, 18, was arrested after a pursuit crash on Euclid Avenue, near the 10 Freeway.

The chase began at 1:15 a.m., when the authorities tried to stopped Alvarez on suspicion of committing traffic violations.

According to reports, he refused to brake and sped about six miles across the city. There, he struck a tree on Euclid Avenue.

Officers say he was seriously injured and sent to a hospital for further treatment. In addition, three children inside the vehicle were left with unspecified injuries.

Alvarez was later arrested on charges of criminal evasion, child abuse with bodily harm, abduction, and false imprisonment. Ricky Alvarez was being held with bail in the amount of $250,000.00.
