30-Year-Old Man Killed in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on Katella Avenue
ANAHEIM, CA (November 29, 2022) – Early Saturday, Rick Dale Moore was fatally struck in a hit-and-run pedestrian crash on Magnolia Street.
According to police, 30-year-old Moore was walking south on Magnolia Street inside a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a speeding vehicle on Katella Avenue.
Upon impact, the driver fled the scene without rendering aid or contacting authorities.
Medical personnel arrived shortly after and pronounced 30-year-old Moore dead at the scene.
Officers later described the suspect vehicle as an older-model dark-colored vehicle, possibly a Chevrolet. Emergency crews closed down the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties before it was later reopened to the public.
At this time, police are seeking any help from the public to track down the suspect.
