There are all kinds of ways scumbags try to get your money (right, Bank of America?). But having a pit bull bite your ears off is a new potential revenue stream even for Wall Street.

Authorities allege that, after his 17-year-old son tried to strong-arm a man in Whittier, proud papa Richard Rudy Aragon, 51, unleashed a pit bull on the victim, resulting in said loss of ears (or parts thereof).

Aragon was set to face the music today:

He faced one count each of mayhem, assault with a deadly weapon (said pit bull) and assault by means (the pit bull's teeth) likely to produce great bodily injury.

But baby Aragon is also in hot water. His name was not released because he is a juvenile. (We can assume. Junior maybe?). He was due in Los Padrinos Juvenile Court in Downey to face one count each of attempted robbery and witness intimidation and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon.

And no, that deadly weapon would not be the dog but rather his foot (as if having a bit bull eat the victim's ears was not enough. Allegedly).

It all happened Saturday night in the 8900 block of Painter Avenue in Whittier when the kid allegedly tried to rob a 43-year-old man.

The man resisted, police said, the two fought, and that's when the pit bull was allegedly unleashed.

After the pooch went to work, the father-son team allegedly punched and kicked the victim, just for good measure.

The pit bull? Also in the doggy justice system, quarantined by county Animal Control officials.
