Daniel Orozco and Barbara Boucke Injured in Motorcycle-Vehicle Collision near Fairfax-Bolinas Road

MARIN COUNTY, CA (April 4, 2023) – Monday afternoon, a three-vehicle collision on Fairfax-Bolinas Road left Richard Paul Coyston dead. The incident happened at around 1:15 p.m. near Fairfax-Bolinas Road in West Marin. According to reports, two motorcyclists were traveling south collided with a Subaru Crosstrek going north for unknown reasons. The impact of the collision caused Coyston to be ejected from his motorcycle, leaving him with serious injuries. Emergency crews arrived at the site of the collision and pronounced 60-year-old Richard Paul Coyston, of Forestville, dead at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics transported 24-year-old Daniel Orozco, of Santa Rosa, to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek. Additionally, medics transported 83-year-old Barbara Boucke, who was driving the BMW, to Marin Health Medical Center. Marin County Officials shut down Highway 1 in both directions as units investigate the circumstances that led to the incident. Police said that intoxication did not play a role in the incident.
