Richard P. Blankenship is the Cofounder and Chief Revenue Office behind Prizeout, a financial technology company rapidly gaining momentum in the industry. Since the advent of fintech, the sector has seen steady growth; Prizeout is one of the companies contributing to the buzz, having raised a $4.5M Series A round this past May.

Prizeout is a software platform that provides a completely unique ‘cash-out’ option for users who need to withdraw funds from a gaming account. While most individuals with an online gaming account can only withdraw funds via ACH, PayPal, or physical check, Prizeout gives these users the ability to translate their funds to a digital gift card from one of Prizeout’s brand partners and cash out ASAP, sometimes with a bonus.

Despite Prizeout’s headquarters located in Manhattan, which hosts its 28 full-time employees, Richard Blankenship’s home base is located in Las Vegas. Blankenship is staunchly loyal to the desert city partially because he loves the lifestyle, but mainly because he knows some of the best networking with gaming companies can be done in Las Vegas.

This understanding is actually based in past experiences. In a past life, Blankenship served as Chief Revenue Officer with Poker Central, the Las Vegas-based rightsholder for the World Series of Poker. Poker Central also owned and operated the 10,000 square foot PokerGo studio at the Aria Resort and Casino.

Prizeout actually evolved out of a meeting between Blankenship and serial entrepreneur David Metz about using Poker Central’s live production capabilities to help produce a combination trivia-poker show on Fleetwit, Metz’s trivia app. Eventually, these conversations and negotiations sparked not only a friendship, but also future business.

Upon hearing Metz’s idea for what would become Prizeout, Blankenship realized the potential value of the company as well as his ability to introduce Metz to all the executives of the gaming companies in Vegas as well as the international online operators.

This was just the start of a mutually beneficial and lucrative relationship. Now Blankenship is a Cofounder, Chief Revenue Officer, and on the company’s board of directors and Prizeout is continuing to grow.

Blankenship is an angel investor based out of Las Vegas involved in CUTS Clothing, an LA-based apparel company, MightyKidz, a Seattle-based childcare facility, Triller, a US-based Tik Tok rival, and he is constantly sourcing new investments. Blankenship is also a big proponent of Las Vegas as a hub for potential investors and entrepreneurs.
