Hayward Hit-And-Run Suspect At-Large after Fatal Crash

HAYWARD, CA (June 29, 2021) – Wednesday, police began their search for the hit-and-run suspect that took the life of Richard Leon Heard Jr.

According to the report, the fatal incident occurred around 9:00 p.m., on West Tennyson Road between Tampa and Dickens Avenue.

At this time, the circumstances surrounding the accident remain unclear. However, reports indicate that Richard was riding his bicycle when a vehicle struck him.

The police are currently searching for a dark-colored full-size pickup truck based on witnesses’ description.

Later on, police identified the victim of the deadly crash as 55-year-old Richard “Ricky” Leon Heard Jr., of Hayward.

Moreover, the family of Richard Heard set up a GoFundMe page to help raise money to offer as a reward to the person with information about the suspect.
