Six Hospitalized after Pedestrian Collision near East Bixby Road in Long Beach

LONG BEACH, CA (November 3, 2021) Police arrested Richard Dalton Irigoyen after an intentional pedestrian crash on Orange Avenue.

The incident happened around 2:43 a.m., at the 1300 block of Orange Avenue. First responders arrived to the scene shortly after receiving multiple dispatch calls.

Per reports, Irigoyen was driving a silver sedan when he veered onto the sidewalk and struck a woman he had been arguing with, including several other people.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics transported five adults and one minor to a nearby hospital.

Moreover, Irigoyen fled the scene without rendering aid to the victims. However, he was later arrested in Compton. Officials booked 27-year-old Richard Dalton Irigoyen into the Long Beach City Jail.

Additionally, his bail is set at $6 million, according to police.
