17-Year-Old Reuben White Killed in State Route 247 Crash

VICTORVILLE, CA (June 11, 2021)Reuben White, 17, of Victorville, was killed in a big rig accident on State Route 247 on Saturday morning.

The fatal accident happened near Lake Street around 7:54 a.m., on June 5. Emergency crews arrived to the scene shortly after.

According to officials, White was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Traverse when he collided with a semi on the highway under unknown circumstances.

The semi driver attempted braking but was unable to avoid colliding with the Chevrolet on the right side, CHP added.

Upon arrival, responding officers pronounced White dead on the scene.

As for the pickup driver, he remained on scene and cooperated with the authorities. At this time, an active investigation remains ongoing.
