Golf is such a fun sport and something my family and I really enjoy! Both Sophie and Jake have done golf lessons and golf camps and Kyle and I love to spend our afternoons/evenings on the course. It is always a great time to spend with friends and family outside in the sun. There are many different golf courses in L.A. that will make your golfing experience great.

Chester Washington Golf Course is a beautiful 18-hole course that is south of the 105 freeway. It has rolling hills, tree-lined fairways and an amazing atmosphere. It costs $30 to walk and $44 to ride on weekdays and has a 4.5-hour average round duration.

Debell Golf Club is another option that is located between Burbank’s Starlight Bowl and Wildwood Canyon Park in the Verdugo Hills. This 18-hole course has valley views, challenging elevation shifts, and Kikuyu grass rough. There is also the Hilltop Restaurant and Bar which is open every day for breakfast and lunch with a view overlooking the golf course. It is also $30 to walk and $44 to ride on weekdays. The average round duration is 4 hours on weekdays and 4.5 on weekends.

Lakewood Golf Course is an exquisite course on a beautiful lake. It is right by the Long Beach Airport and is considered one of the best golf courses in south L.A. It is an 18-hole course and has several par 3’s that play over 200 yards. The cost is $30/$40 and a 4-5 duration time.

These are some of the best public golf courses in L.A. that will give you a fun, scenic golf experience. All of the courses provide lessons and have different events to enjoy, for specific events visit their websites.

These are all open to the public, but there are also great private clubs in L.A. to join too. The Oaks Country Club is a great 18-hole course in Valencia. It has amazing views of the Santa Clarita Valley and has great events to be a part of. These events include family barbeques, seasonal culinary events, themed dinners, holiday celebrations, and social mixers. The Oaks Grille serves great food and wine and has a view of the golf course.

Some more private courses include the Los Angeles Country Club, Bel-Air Country Club, MountainGate Country Club, Hillcrest Country Club and Brentwood Country Club. These luxurious courses would be great clubs to join for great community, food, golf, and so much more.

Whether you are looking for a golf course to go to on the weekends, or a country club to enjoy daily L.A. has it all and there are so many options to choose from. If you are looking for golf attire visit G/FORE for golf shoes, clothes and more!
