As part of his "Guts and Glory" tour, Anthony Bourdain will be coming to Los Angeles for a show at the Pantages Theater on April 16 of next year. L.A. chef Roy Choi will join Bourdain on stage for an evening of (according to the press release) "candid, often hysterical insights about their life's work and travels, including an open question and answer session with the audience."
Ticket prices begin at $35 and go on sale this Friday, Nov. 16 at 10 a.m. Tickets will be available at BroadwayLA.org , by phone at 800-982-2787, or in person at the Pantages Box Office.
If you've ever seen Bourdain live before, you'll know his shows are a little hard to define. Part monologue, part stand-up routine, part recycled material from his most recent book, it's basically a change for all of us Bourdain-lovers to catch some of his filthy magic in person. His shows with other chefs can be kinda awkward or awesome, depending on the chemistry and charm of his on-stage guests. My guess is that Roy Choi will be a good match.
