Are you a Rent-head? Do you break out in “Seasons of Love” while in the vitamin aisle at Whole Foods? Are you a Roger or a Mimi or a Mark? Bohemia lives for three straight nights at the Hollywood Bowl for a staging of Jonathan Larson's beloved rock musical version of Puccini's opera La Boheme. In Larson's version, tuberculosis becomes AIDS, the Latin Quarter became the Lower East Side, but all the cool people are still starving artists. Rent, which ran for 12 years on Broadway, won the New York Drama Critics Circle Award, the Drama Desk Award, the Obie Award, the Tony Award and the Pulitzer Prize. The bowl's fully staged production is directed by Neil Patrick Harris and stars Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls, and this season's winner of Dancing With the Stars, as Maureen, along with Skylar Astin, Wayne Brady, Vanessa Hudgens, Telly Leung, Collins Pennie, the original “Seasons of Love” vocalist Gwen Stewart, Tracie Thoms and Aaron Tveit. Says Harris of Scherzinger in the press poop: “Nicole had a wonderful audition — she was well prepared, sang beautifully and had us all laughing. If only she was somewhat attractive and didn't have two left feet.
