For ticket holders, a quick reminder that the Evan Kleiman moderated talk between Michael Pollan and Eric Schlosser is this week: this Wednesday, February 9 at USC's Bovard Auditorium.

As Kleiman previously pointed out, these two writers and food activists don't get together often, so this talk is a rare opportunity to see them in the same room and hear their thoughts on where we're headed in terms of agribusiness and food trends.

Last month on her Facebook page, Kleiman asked for suggestions of topics to discuss. Ideas ranged from how to get the government to subsidize healthy food to where Pollan and Schlosser get their favorite hamburgers. We're interested to see what Kleiman brings up.

Forget to reserve your spot? Well, the bad news is the event is at capacity. The good news, however, is there's a wait list, which you can sign up for online. Considering how many people register for these types of things then no-show, there's a chance you may get in. Here's hoping the general flakiness of L.A. — albeit often traffic-related flakiness — works to your benefit.
