Two women believed to be mother and daughter were found dead in a Redondo Beach apartment this morning, and police have just named a person of interest in the killings.

Redondo Beach police have launched a homicide investigation and are looking for Jonathan Scott Chacon, 23, who is thought to be the boyfriend of one of the victims.

A co-worker of one of the women found the bodies in an apartment on the 1900 block of Rockefeller Lane Tuesday morning, according to RBPD Sgt. Jeff Hink. Police responded at about 10 a.m., he said.

Police have not yet revealed how the women were killed.

Chacon is believed to be driving a 1996 black Ford Mustang with California license plates 6CQF458.

Redondo Beach police ask anyone with information about Chacon to call (310) 937-6685, text (310) 339-2362, or email crimetips@redondo.org.
