While you might assume that an artisanal wine event called CRUSH will require you to get your feet dirty, rest assured — it's all polite society at this culinary compendium of wine, cocktails and food. While sampling the wares of vendors like Edible Westside, Maestro Sausage, Savour This Moment, Venice Ale House and Ventana Wines, you get a little blues (The Voice's Orlando Napier), a little light turntablism (Fresh + Sunny), and a skosh of jazz from the kids in the Arts Jazz Ensemble. If it's all too heady and gout-inducing, walk it off with a trip to the artist studios at host 18th Street Arts Center and the Alexandra Grant exhibition “Foret Interieure/Interior Forest,” which is all about telepathy and the concept of space. Space: an interesting counterpoint to the stomachs that doubtless will be stuffed full of gustatory wonders. 18th Street Arts Center, 1639 18th St.; Santa Monica; Sun., May 19, 2-5 p.m.; $45 ($55 VIP gets 1 p.m. entry). (310) 453-3711, 18thstreet.org.

Sun., May 19, 2-5 p.m., 2013
