DUI Suspect Arrested after Collision near Castillo Street
SANTA BARBARA, CA (September 13, 2022) – Authorities arrested Ray Timothy Oberholzer after a DUI Collision on 101 Freeway.
Officials received reports of the incident around 1:30 a.m. after a Ford sedan crashed into a large retaining wall while turning onto northbound Castillo Street.
According to the investigators, the Ford driver was traveling at a high rate of speed while exiting the 101 southbound freeway off-ramp prior to the accident.
The driver, identified as 25-year-old Ray Timothy Oberholzer, and his passenger sustained minor injuries. Meanwhile, the rear seat passenger was hospitalized for treatment of severe injuries.
Furthermore, authorities booked Oberholzer into the Santa Barbara County Jail for felony DUI causing injury.
