KINGS COUNTY, CA (August 30, 2022) – On Saturday morning, officials arrested Raul Michael Ibarra Jr. after a head-on crash on 14th Avenue.

The incident happened at around 4:30 a.m., near the intersection of 14th and Iona Avenues.

According to investigators, a northbound Chevrolet Silverado driven by Ibarra crossed into the southbound lanes. The Silverado then collided with a Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Ignacio Quintero and occupied by Estellla Quintero.

Emergency crews arrived at the site of the accident shortly after and airlifted Ignacio Quintero to Kaweah Medical. 71-year-old Estella Quintero was pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, authorities arrested Raul Michael Ibarra Jr. for DUI.
