30-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck in Collision near State Route 180 in Fresno

FRESNO, CA (October 27, 2021) 30-year-old Rathanak Heng, was fatally struck in a car crash on Highway 99 early Saturday morning.

The accident happened around 4:00 a.m., on the highway, just north of State Route 180. Emergency crews arrived to the scene shortly after.

According to the CHP, Heng was driving a Jaguar SUV south on Highway 99 when he drifted to the right, exited the roadway, and rolled over for unknown reasons.

Due to the fact that he was not wearing a seatbelt, Hen was thrown from the vehicle and landed in the far right lane. There, he was struck by two passing vehicles.

Despite life-saving efforts, responding officials pronounced Heng dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, both drivers remained and cooperated with the investigation. At this time, Fresno Officials are still currently investigating the car crash.
