A rapper well known in L.A.'s hip-hop community was killed in a shooting at a Porter Ranch Granada Hills pool party over the weekend, according to multiple reports.

Kid Cali, who was once signed to NFL wide receiver DeSean Jackson's record label, Jaccpot, was shot six times while attending an event on Saturday at a multimillion-dollar home in the 12400 block of Longacre Avenue. Digital fliers for the “Millions of Models Mansion Pool Party” stated that Chris Brown affiliate Kid Red would make an appearance.

Before the party, Kid Cali — real name Justin Lishey — posted on Instagram that he was “headed to this pool party wit my blood cuz'n @kidred.” Hours later, around 9 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting at the house, LAPD Officer Norma Eisenman said. Three people had been shot, she said — Lishey died at a hospital and the other two were expected to survive.

A suspect fled on foot and had not been captured, according to police.

“We just heard gunshots and everybody just instantly ducked,” said witness Dorthea Devilla, who said she was close to Lishey, told ABC Eyewitness News. “I lost a really good person in my life. He's going to be missed.”

The station reported that Lishey may have gotten into an argument before shots rang out.

Lishey, who also went by the name Cali Oso, has been listed in separate reports as either 28 or 30 years old and reportedly left behind a child. On social media postings, he's seen in photos with a baby girl.

Rappers Snoop Dogg, T.I. and Chris Brown posted R.I.P. messages on social media yesterday, mourning Lishey's death.
