Famed 90s rapper and actor, Coolio, has died at the age of 59, according to multiple reports.

Coolio, whose given name was Artis Leon Ivey Jr., reportedly died in a Los Angeles home, found by first responders after being called on a “medical emergency,” according to the Associated Press.

The call was responded to at 4 pm. at the home of friend in Los Angeles, Wednesday and Coolio was pronounced dead soon after, according to TMZ.

While an investigation is underway, it is not believed that foul play was involved and no drugs were found at the scene.

An official cause of death will be determined after an autopsy and toxicology test.

The rapper will be forever known for his 1995 hit record, “Gangsta’s Paradise,” which won a Grammy for Performance of the Year.
