Los Angeles Police Department detectives are searching for the gunman who was involved in the killing of a 35-year-old man, early this morning.

Ramond Juan Allen Sr. was walking inside the Jordan Downs Housing Development on April 24, at around 4:20 a.m., when he was approached by a black male suspect.

The gunman fired multiple times and Allen fell to the ground in the courtyard area near the 2030 block East 101st Street. The suspect then entered a white sedan and left the scene southbound on Grape Street from 102nd Street.

Allen was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries. Police believe the shooting was gang-related. Anyone with information about the shooting should contact LAPD Southeast Division detectives at (213) 485-4341.
