Driver and Passenger Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash near Rudsdale Street

OAKLAND, CA (March 25, 2022) – Officers arrested Ramon Sanchez after a hit-and-run on 76th Avenue that left two dead, Thursday.

Per reports, Sanchez refused to pull over for a traffic stop in the 1300 block of 76th Avenue. Subsequently, the suspect went southbound and collided with an eastbound vehicle occupied by three people.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, emergency responders declared the driver and his passenger dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the other female passenger riding in the back seat remained at the hospital in a stable condition.

Eventually, police arrested 37-year-old Ramon Sanchez on suspicion of hit-and-run, manslaughter, and evading arrest.
