Victorville Man Pronounced Dead after Two-Vehicle Collision near Summit Post Office Road
HESPERIA, CA (July 27, 2023) – Sunday morning, 58-year-old Ramiro Ortiz lost his life after a head-on crash at Highway 138. The incident took place on July 23rd, at around 4:18 a.m., along Highway 138, between Summit Post Office Road and Little Horsethief Canyon Road. According to CHP, Ortiz’s white Mercedes was struck head-on by a speeding dark gray Chevrolet Camaro. The impact of the crash caused Ortiz to sustain fatal injuries. Responding officials pronounced Victorville resident, Ramiro Ortiz, 58, dead at the scene. Meanwhile, there was no information about the driver of the Chevrolet. Hesperia police are investigating the fatal crash and will release updates once they are available.
