2 Officers Hurt in Vehicle Accident on Lasselle Street

MORENO VALLEY, CA (May 18, 2022) – Tuesday, police took Ramiro Benitez-Jimenez into custody after a pursuit crash on Lasselle Street.

The accident happened at the intersection of Alessandro Boulevard and Lasselle Street.

Investigators revealed that Jimenez was driving erratically in traffic lanes, eventually fleeing from officers through Lasselle Street.

The pursuit then came to an end when Benitez-Jimenez crashed his vehicle into a nearby backyard. Two officers sustained minor injuries from the collision.
