Looks like Ramen Yamadaya got one taste of the Westside and wanted more. As reported by Food GPS, having already expanded from their original Torrance location to Culver City a few weeks ago, Yamadaya will open a Westwood location in November.

The website tells us that the newest outpost will be at 1248 Westwood Boulevard, just south of Wilshire Boulevard and only blocks away from UCLA. With the abundant Persian eateries along Westwood Boulevard, often called Tehrangeles, as well as Jewish deli Junior's, Japanese prix fixe restaurant Wakasan and Pitfire Pizza, looks like Westwood's food scene is coming right along.

The Culver City branch of Yamadaya already has Angelenos raving. In his First Bite, Jonathan Gold lauds Yamadaya for “[taking] porkiness to a new extreme, a tongue-coating, brain-penetrating pig plasma that comes at you as if shot from an umami gun set to stun.” The biggest disappointment appears to be that it's closed on Mondays. We'll be updating as we hear more.
