25-Year-Old Man Died in Suspected DUI Crash near Lamb Boulevard

LAS VEGAS, NV (June 22, 2022) – On Monday, 25-year-old Rakeem Lichtenberger died after an alleged DUI crash on Alto Avenue.

The incident happened 10:11 p.m. on Lamb Boulevard at Alto Avenue on June 20th, according to Vegas Police.

As per reports, a 2003 Ford Escape heading northbound on Lamb crashed into a Kenworth tractor-trailer that was turning left from the southbound side.

Officers said the Ford’s front passenger died at the scene due to the extent of his injuries. Officers later identified the man as 25-year-old Lichtenberger.

Meanwhile the driver of the Ford, 28-year-old Ahmad Yakub, suffered major injuries and was hospitalized for further treatment. However, officers said Yakub displayed signs of impairment at the time of the collision.

The driver of the semi-truck managed to escape the crash with unharmed.

Furthermore, Las Vegas Officials continue to investigate the fatal crash on Alto Avenue and will release additional information once they become available.
