E.P. & L.P.  reopens the Melrose Rooftop Theatre on Sunday, July 4 and will run through the end of November. From craft cocktails to a full dinner and a VIP movie option, the rooftop cinema will kick off with Dirty Dancing. While the film begins at 8:00 p.m., moviegoers can head up to the L.P. rooftop beginning at 4:00 p.m. for pre-movie cocktails. Cinephiles can choose between two viewing options: a general admission VIP seating ($28 per person), and a complete dinner and a movie VIP package with a globally inspired and locally sourced three-course menu from the recently reopened E.P. Restaurant ($49 per person). All movie-goers can expect individual bean-bag seating with personal wireless technology headsets. The Big Lebowski, Bridesmaids, Casablanca and Superbad will be matched with spicy ahi tuna, gnocchi pomodoro, wood-grilled Angus steak and fries with goat cheesecake for dessert.

National Tattoo Day is Saturday, July 17, and plant-based Tattooed Chef – helmed by Sarah Galletti, (the “tattooed chef” herself) – will be giving Angelenos the chance to wear their love for plants on their sleeves with free veggie tattoos. Paul John Distillery is holding a fundraiser for India COVID-19 relief on Wednesday, July 7 at  Lost Property Bar in Hollywood. The ticketed event will feature a curated six-flight tasting of Paul John Indian Single Malt Whisky and Brandy expressions, contemporary Indian appetizers from Jungli and hosted by Paul John, chairman and founder of John Distilleries. On Friday, July 9 at 4 p.m., Sean Brennan, founder of The Pie Hole, will be live on Goldbelly for an interactive Zoom session on how to bake the Alone Together pie from scratch. A top seller and long-time fan favorite, the Alone Together starts with Oreos for a crushed cookie crust, is filled with sweetened peanut butter, covered in dark chocolate ganache and topped with potato chips. Goldbelly LIVE participants can purchase the curated pie kit and instructions from Goldbelly prior to the course. The kit serves six to eight people and the session will last about one hour.
