Traffic Accident near Mansfield Avenue Kills Pedestrian

LOS ANGELES, CA (August 19, 2022) – Monday evening, Rafael Cabrera died after a hit-and-run on Venice Boulevard.

The fatal incident occurred around 10:10 p.m., near the 5000 block of Venice Boulevard.

According to officials, Cabrera was walking in the area, outside of the crosswalk, when a dark-colored SUV struck him. The impact of the collision left Cabrera with serious injuries. However, the driver of the SUV left the scene without rendering aid to the victim.

Emergency services were dispatched to the site of the accident shortly afterward. However, despite life-saving efforts, 41-year-old Rafael Cabrera was pronounced dead at the scene due to the extent of his condition.

The city of Los Angeles has offer $50,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the the two occupants in the dark-colored SUV.
