45-Year-Old Woman Dies in Pedestrian Collision near Fullerton Road

INDUSTRY, CA (March 28, 2022) – Sunday evening, 45-year-old Rachel Meza was killed in a pedestrian accident on 60 Freeway.

The fatal collision happened around 7:52 p.m., along the westbound lanes of 60 Freeway near Fullerton Road.

According to reports, the driver of an unidentified vehicle struck Meza in the area. However, the events leading up to the incident remain unclear.

Responding paramedics pronounced Meza dead at the scene, due to multiple blunt force trauma injuries. At this time, authorities have no further description of the vehicle or driver involved.

Meanwhile, the crash resulted in the closure of the area and officials issuing a SigAlert around 8:00 p.m. for all westbound lanes of the freeway but has reopened just before 10 p.m.

Industry police will release additional information once it becomes available. An active investigation is currently underway at this time.
