Woman Dies after Fatal Car Crash on 101 Freeway

LOS ANGELES, CA (July 13, 2021) – Early Monday morning, Rachael Fox, 47, of Los Angeles, was killed in a DUI accident on the 101 Freeway.

The first crash happened around 4:40 a.m., July 5 on the southbound side of the freeway, just north of the Pilgrimage Bridge.

Following the initial collision, Fox got out of her vehicle to check for damage. There, Adrian Castroramos struck her in a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe.

Emergency personnel arrived on the scene and discovered Fox lying on the road with serious injuries. Shortly after, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Following preliminary investigation, police officers arrested Castroramos on suspicion of DUI.

The CHP later determined that Castroramos, who suffered minor injuries, was driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.

Meantime, the CHP continues with the investigation of the crash. Once available, more information will be released.
