70-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Multi-Car Accident near Lankershim Boulevard

STUDIO CITY, CA (February 8, 2023) – Early Monday morning, Raad Ibrahim Abdo was fatally injured in a multi-vehicle collision on 101 Freeway.

The incident happened around 2:18 a.m., along the northbound Hollywood (101) Freeway just south of Lankershim Boulevard in the Studio City neighborhood.

At this time, the events leading up to the incident remain unclear. However, reports indicate that several vehicles were involved.

In addition, medical personnel pronounced one victim dead at the scene. The Los Angeles County coroner’s office identified the deceased victim as 70-year-old Raad Ibrahim Abdo, of North Hollywood.

The identities of the other parties and the total number of vehicles involved remain unclear.

Furthermore, the collision prompted a SigAlert that closed down all northbound lanes of the 101 Freeway. Los Angeles Officials continue to investigate the multi-vehicle crash.
