Morris Day and The Time and Thixotix Modeling Troupe payed tribute to Prince at Purple Reign, the seventh annual Mother's Day extravaganza put on by Thixotix. The event on Saturday, May 7, featured a fashion show by the Thixotix models and a performance by Morris Day and the Time. Prince and Morris Day grew up together in Minnesota, formed a band together in high school and later went on to successful careers. The event was booked well before the untimely death of Prince. Thixotix was founded by Tania Capree, who led the modeling troupe during the course of the night and is dedicated solely to the “thick, exotic and sexy plus model.” Attendees walked the purple carpet to a night of music, fashion, drinks, food, raffles and pop-up clothing and jewelry shops.
