Lonnie Thompson is a developmentally disabled African-American artist in his mid-50s. For more than 15 years, Thompson has been working as an artist at the ECF Art Center in Baldwin Hills. According to ECF art director Rohmi Reid, “Lonnie is best known for his vast array of whimsical characters that include both people and animals, for which he has a great love.”
