Hate crime graffiti on mostly Toyota Prius cars greeted some residents in Pacific Palisades yesterday morning.

Cops think these anti-Priusites are “probably some neighborhood kids being stupid,” in the words of an LAPD watch commander we spoke to.

The discovery of swastikas, the n-word and other spray-painted hate statements on vehicles was reported …

… about 6:40 a.m. Sunday, the watch commander said.

Locations included the 1200 block of Chautauqua Boulevard, the 500 block of North Las Casas Avenue, the 1200 block of Monument Street and the 16000 block of Sunset Boulevard, he said.

Some of the swastikas were backwards, the LAPD official said, leading him to believe in the extra-stupidity and youth of the suspects.

One neighbor, identified as Matt Lieberman, told CBS Los Angeles he “was not expecting it … not around here.”

Though earth-friendly Priuses were indeed targeted, the watch commander said at least one Mercedes-Benz was also tagged.

No suspects had been arrested.
