President Barack Obama will be in Los Angeles Monday afternoon to boost the profile of a fundraiser for fellow Democrat Barbara Boxer, who is running for reelection to the U.S. Senate.

Obama will be at the California Science Center at 700 Exposition Park Drive, said Boxer spokeswoman Sheila Creal. After the 4:30 p.m. reception there, Obama will attend a dinner at the Natural History Museum. Boxer's campaign will reap $250 to $2,500 from each ticket to the reception and $35,200 per couple for dinner with the president.

Driving through Exposition Park at the time will likely be a nightmare, and police have warned of possible street closures in the area as Obamas motorcade travels to and from the event.
