It's been 40 years of scathing satire, spot-on spoofs and gut-clenching guffaws! And Cinefamily invites you to be part of the National Lampoon 40th Anniversay Tribute. Yep, the comedy brand that jump-started the careers of the writers, directors and actors of comedy classics like Caddyshack, the Vacation series, Ghostbusters, and Ferris Bueller's Day Off is celebrated in an evening of rarely seens and often-seens: Lemmings, a parody of Woodstock, featuring John Belushi, Chevy Chase and Christopher Guest; Disco Beaver From Outer Space, a “rude, crude '78 HBO special that ripped the Carter administration”; and Class of '86, a “yuppie skewering, off-Broadway stage show.” Capping off the event is a showing of the ultimate slobfest fave, a 35mm print of Animal House. And an appearance and post-show Q&A by National Lampoon founder Matty Simmons. Break out your now-yellowed toga and pray for a well-catered food fight.
