Approaching its three-year anniversary, Pourtal Wine Tasting Bar announces its closure. Currently in escrow, a Japanese buyer will open another wine bar in the same space called 104 by the Sea. Pourtal's last days, selling the remainder of its inventory (wine, beer, food), are Feb. 24-25. As with many other bars and restaurants in high-rent areas, there were space issues and not enough foot traffic.

A message from the owner says:

Sadly as we approach our third year anniversary, we will be closing our doors in downtown Santa Monica indefinitely. Please come by to say 'goodbye' and celebrate three years of providing the best boutique, natural wines in Santa Monica. It was a privilege to serve all of you.

Our remaining hours will be:

Friday, February 24: 4 p.m. to Midnight (Happy Hour 4-7 p.m.)

Saturday, February 25: 4 p.m. to Midnight (Happy Hour 4-6 p.m.)

Please come in to say goodbye and help us drink up our inventory!

We look forward to seeing all our friends and family to say goodbye!

Yours,

Stephen, Rachel, Kasey, Morgan, Michael, Peter, Essau & Raul

PS: Please stay tuned as we try to find a location that serves you better.
