While there will be media conferences aplenty following today's California State Supreme Court ruling on a trio of challenges to Proposition 8, at least three public rallies and/or marches are planned for the L.A. area. (Advocate.com reports there will also be a 5:30 p.m. rally tomorrow, Wednesday, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, 9876 Wilshire Boulevard, where President Obama is staying, to urge him to reverse the military's Don't Ask/Don't Tell policy.)

East L.A., 1-3 p.m.: The Latino Equality Alliance is organizing a news conference and rally to immediately follow the decision. L.A. County Marriage License Office, 4716 E. Cesar Chavez Avenue.

Hollywood/West Hollywood, 7 p.m.: L.A. Pride/Christopher Street West sponsors a rally and march to begin at Santa Monica and San Vicente boulevards. March heads east to Highland Avenue, then north to a 9:30 p.m. rally at Hollywood Boulevard. March returns down La Brea Avenue to Sunset Boulevard back to WeHo.

Long Beach, 7 p.m.: Rally sponsored by Long Beach Equality meets at Alamitos Avenue and Broadway, for march to Bixby Park Band Stand at First Street and Cherry Avenue. (562) 639-3267.
