And it has appeared to have shut down much production in L.A. county, with speculation putting porn shoots in neighboring Ventura County, where doing adult video al fresco — sans Jimmy Hat — was still legal. No longer:
The Ventura County Board of Supervisors yesterday voted to impose a similar mandatory condom rule for adult video.
That according to the Ventura County Star newspaper (not available online).
The law apparently goes into effect now, so there's no dodging this one. Is there nowhere for the industry to hide?

A statewide condom requirement is being considered in Sacramento, too.
The business says smut buyers don't like condom porn, that it's monthly STD testing of performers works, and that these rules will force the industry underground, where things will be less safe.
The L.A.-based AIDS Healthcare Foundation, which has spearheaded the pro-prophylactic efforts, says state and federal law intend to protect workers from blood-borne pathogens but that the porn industry has been flouting the rules.
