It's no secret around the adult industry who's responsible for Porn Wikileaks. Former performer, attempted porn agent, and current pinhead Donny Long is who's been named the alleged “big dick” of the website that most recently revealed the real names and birth dates of upwards of 15,000 pornstars.

But why?

We hit up Gram Ponante, a writer who's covered the business of pleasure for almost a decade and runs a website that gives an objective and entertaining peek behind the curtain of Porn Valley.

About a year ago Long jumped online and started posting the real identities and birth dates of several porn stars, as well as that of porn agent Mark Spiegler with whom Long apparently shared beef. (And not the kind you order at hibachi restaurants in Woodland Hills.)

Both Ponante and fellow adult industry blogger Luke Ford reported Long's actions, and Ponante went so far as to reach out and e-touch Long essentially to ask what the hell was wrong with him.

According to Ponante, Long wanted to be an agent, too, but when girls he hoped to hire decided to sign with someone else, he attempted to sabotage every other agent's success by making it appear dangerous to work with anyone other than Long.

Ponante tells AfterDarkLA: “When I asked him a year ago about why he thought releasing the real names and social security numbers of performers who employ the agent Mark Spiegler, Long stated: 'It's simple: the girls don't want their real names posted, so why would any girl sign with Spiegler knowing their real name will get posted? Mark Spiegler out of business in (no) time! Get it now?'

(Ponante's original account of Long's response included eye-melting, mind-numbing grammatical errors that have been rectified in the above statement. Possibly to protect you, the reader's, own eyeballs and brain matter.)

“Now, what started as a couple of websites principally targeting agents like Spiegler and Derek Hay has mushroomed into something a lot more comprehensive,” Ponante says.

Teagan Presley probably doesn't want the world to know her real age.

At first thought, one might wonder why a breach of privacy like this hasn't happened before. There surely are a slew of irritated, angry and reckless former employees who'd jump at the chance to seek revenge for a pink slip or ego bruise.

But Ponante reminds us that though there are a lot of bad apples in the porn valley's wicker basket, most are clever enough to retaliate with something that also will benefit them in the long run.

“Though there are a lot of volatile and eccentric personalities in both the adult and 'mainstream' entertainment industries, most smart disgruntled former employees will try to find ways to enrich themselves while compromising the careers of others,” Ponante says. “Long has not enriched himself. Vendettas are more effective when there is a profit motive.

“What will be interesting now is how the adult community deals with Long, who lacks the means to offer financial compensation.”

And this, dear readers, is why Donny Long is NOT the Julian Assange of Porn Wikileaks. Still not convinced? Read this intelligent, clear and candid explanation of the difference between the two controversial websites and the men behind them.
