Dennis RomeroStacie Halas shocked Southern California and rocked her male students when it was discovered last month that she had a porn-star past. You never saw boys pay attention like they did the day they spotted her work.
But, strangely, she's not the only instructor with a degree in bow-chica-bow-wow. Perhaps parents should be concerned, because there's a healthy history of educators who who have worked in the industry.

Jane Moyle.
5. Jane Moyle is a 45-year-old British teacher from South Wales whose own home video performances were discovered on her school laptop after she took it in for a repair in 2010. It contained action with her husband, who was reportedly selling their amateur productions to adult sites without her consent. Even though the imagery was only a few clicks away from grade schoolers, Moyle was allowed to carry on in the classroom. The English are so enlightened.

4. Heidi Kaeslin, a Stockton-area teacher, was put on paid leave by her school district late last year after it was discovered she was the beauty and the brains behind … MySluttyTeacher.com. Yeah! In fact, the 35-year-old and her ex-husband were said to have been running “several” adult sites on the side. One of her websites declared that Kaeslin's inspiration for the business was the fact that “… her male students spent most of the period staring at her boobs.” At least they were paying attention.
Loftis: Learn this.
3. Shawn Loftis. Ha! You thought this was all about the ladies. Oh, no. Gay men get their porn on too. Loftis was outright fired when his Miami school district discovered that he had a porn-star past, which Loftis said was years behind him. He challenged the decision and won last month at the state level. Loftis can teach again. “This is my past and I left it behind,” he told the Weekly. “I can use my experiences in life to teach kids.” A lesson for prudes?

2. Tericka Dye. Ah, yes: We had to dip into history for this one. The challenging, discriminatory plight of the porn-star teacher is nothing new. Dye, a.k.a. Rikki Anderson, a.k.a. Tera Myers, was a U.S. Army enlistee who performed on the side in such mid- to late-1990s classics as Major Slut and Tight Ass. She “retired” and then, using the G.I. Bill, got her degree on and began teaching high school in Kentucky. In 2006 the district found out about her career and let her serve out her contract without renewing it. She went on to teach at a different district and, again in 2011, was found out (by a student, of course) and suspended. E for effort here folks.

1. Stacie Halas. No surprise here, right kids? The porn world dictates that top billing goes to the newest … comer. That's Halas, who last month was suspended from her Oxnard middle school gig after students (male, no doubt) discovered that she too had a porn past. The Oxnard school board recently gave the 31-year-old a reprieve by putting off its decision on her fate. Halas, it appears, “worked” about six years ago in San Diego, for a guy who called her “one of my favorite models.” One of her classics is called Big Sausage Pizza. Really. If that's not a teachable moment, we don't know what is.
