Adult video's Tasha Reign could change that. L.A. Weekly once called her one of the “Porn Stars Who Make Smart Sexy,” and she has proved us right.

Her people say she's graduating from UCLA, ranked as one of the top universities in the world, this weekend:

She's on tap to accept her degree in gender studies Saturday, according to a statement. UCLA says more than 5,000 seniors will graduate during two separate ceremonies (at 2 and 7 p.m.) at Pauley Pavilion.

(Her folks say the porn star will participate in a 10 a.m. ceremony for gender studies grads).

Reign, who was registered at UCLA as Rachel Swimmer and was in her sixth year of college this year, says she'll continue to perform but that she also wants to move on to producing and directing:

Studying at UCLA and cultivating my humanist viewpoint, particularly in the field of feminism, has allowed my adult performance work to shine with a very personal touch. I'm looking forward to now concentrating on producing, directing, and performance work, as well as continuing to use the education I received at UCLA to share my experiences and perspective with the public. I'm proud to be a Bruin and even more proud to be a part of the feminist porn movement!

Her people say Reign, 25, has become a symbol for “sexual empowerment” and feminism within adult video. Jen Moorman, a UCLA gender studies lecturer, says:

She is already an outspoken advocate for the adult video industry, and I have no doubt that she will bring the insights she has gained as a student at UCLA to her work in new and interesting ways.
