Father and Son Die in Fatal Wrong-Way Collision on US 95 near Rancho Drive

LAS VEGAS, NV (June 8, 2021)Porfirio Robledo, 71 and Rodolfo Robledo, 42, both died Saturday morning in a wrong-way collision on US 95.

At approximately 8:08 a.m., a wrong-way accident occurred on the southbound lanes of the highway near Rancho Drive. Emergency crews arrived to the area shortly after.

According to NHP, Juan Cruz-Mexia, 26, was driving a gray Silverado the wrong way when he collided head-on with a white pickup, killing both occupants.

The Silverado then struck a black Volkswagen. However, medics say the Volkswagen passenger remained uninjured.

Meanwhile, Cruz-Mexia was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition. He was also charged with two counts of driving under the influence resulting in death and one count of driving in the wrong direction, according to NHP.

Moreover, a GoFundMe page has been set up to assist the loved ones of the victims during this difficult time.
