The Godfrey Hotel Hollywood in the heart of the Vinyl District will be hosting summer pool parties this season starting this month. I|O Rooftop offers 360-degree views across Hollywood, including the Hollywood sign, Downtown L.A Griffith Observatory and the famous Capitol Records tower. Hosted every Sunday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., with tickets priced at $10/person (21+ only) at the door, the parties welcome non-guests, locals and visitors to the rooftop, to enjoy everything from chicken tenders and wingers to salads, sandwiches and burgers, live DJs, a taco cart special with chicken, al pastor, carne asada, shrimp and drinks. The rooftop also will be celebrating with a PRIDE Pool Party on Sunday, June 12.

Restaurant Week returns to Greater Palm Springs Friday June 3 to June12. The annual event, now in its 14th year, will offer 10 days of dining experiences at local restaurants throughout the nine-city destination. More than 60 restaurants will offer custom menus for lunch, dinner or both. Lunch offers will include two or more courses/items priced at $15, $25 or $35. Dinner menus include three or more courses/items or small plates and cost $39, $49 or $59. Some restaurants may offer wine pairings and/or supplemental dishes for an additional charge. PS Underground will present STARSTRUCK for Restaurant Week. Join the PS Underground troupe of actors for a musical dinner event that pays tribute to the glamorous, star-studded history of Palm Springs while enjoying a secret four-course dinner for $99. The Duarte Chamber of Commerce will host an opening-day celebration to introduce the city’s new Farmer’s Market on Wednesday, June 1, starting at 3:30 p.m., with a ribbon-cutting event attended by local, county and state government officials, and live music provided by the music students from the California School of the Arts. The Duarte Farmer’s Market will be open from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., rain or shine, every Wednesday, and will accept SNAP/EBT cards, in addition to cash, debit and credit cards. The seventh annual MAINopoly: Taste of Main Street is returning Memorial Day Weekend on Sunday, May 29. The all-ages event is an interactive twist on the classic board game that offers a culinary tasting tour of Santa Monica’s Main Street, allowing attendees to exchange “mainopoly dollars” for tastings at restaurants, bars, ice cream stores and coffee shops. Stop by the “Go to Jail Beer Garden” and complete your official game board for the chance to win a Taste of Main Street Prize Pack ($1K value).

Maple Block Meat Co. is celebrating National Barbecue month with a new series, Maple Block and Friends, with guest chefs coming to cook. This Sunday, May 22, Standing Burger’s pop-up kicks it off, and later this month Jason Neroni brings his pizza oven to the patio for brisket pizzas. This Sunday, Standing‘s Jose “Burger Daddy” will be grilling his signature smash burgers with additions from Maple Block, including sliced brisket, pulled pork or thick–cut bacon, burger combo plates, house-made potato salad, coleslaw, ranch beans, and macaroni and cheese. The festivities continue on National Biscuit Day on May 29, with free biscuits all day with the purchase of any entree.

Daily Harvest, the company that delivers chef-crafted food , will have a Chop Shop Pop-Up at 1306 Abbot Kinney in Venice on Saturday, May 21 and Sunday, May 22 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The space has been transformed into an old school butcher shop to introduce Crumbles , a new plant-based protein that’s grown in the ground, not in a lab . The shop will be serving up breakfast tacos, chopped salad and Italian “sausage” pesto paninis with French lentil and leek crumbles. There’s also a frozen deli case with classic Daily Harvest items like smoothies and walnut and thyme Crumbles to go.

We are taking this very seriously and doing everything we can to get to the bottom of this. Your health and well-being are our top priority. Here are the steps we are taking:
As soon as we received reports suggesting a possible link between the French Lentil + Leek Crumbles and an adverse reaction, we immediately took action and launched a voluntary recall.
We have reached out multiple times directly to consumers who received the product, instructing them to dispose of it and not eat it. If you have French Lentil + Leek Crumbles, please dispose of them and do not eat them. The last thing we’d want is for anyone else to be impacted.
In parallel, we launched an investigation to identify the root cause of the health issues being reported. We’re working closely with the FDA and with multiple independent labs to investigate this. We are working with a group of experts to help us get to the bottom of this—that includes microbiologists, toxin and pathogen experts as well as allergists.
All pathogen and toxicology results have come back negative so far, but we’re continuing to do extensive testing and will keep you updated.
We are in touch directly with customers who reported adverse reactions and are collecting data to further the investigation, as well as offering refunds.
