Police arrested 39-year-old Monica Avila for suspicion of attempted murder after she allegedly tried to run over a man with her car, then later threw a bag of urine at police, the Pasadena Star News reported.

Police responded to a call of trespassing Thursday morning around 3:30 in the 300 block of East Penn Street.

“The victim reported that when he came out of the house to talk to the trespasser, she tried to run him down with her vehicle,” Lt. Chris Russ of the Pasadena Police Department told the newspaper.

Police say the alleged victim was a 44-year-old man who was the brother of Avila's ex-boyfriend.

Authorities later tracked Avila's car to the corner of Los Robles Avenue and Buckeye Street. As officers tried to arrest Avila, she took out a urostomy bag and threw it at three officers, Russ said.

She was taken into custody and booked on suspicion of attempted murder. Not clear what the charge would be on the urine toss.
