Los Angeles police on Thursday identified a suspect in the shooting death of Matthew Butcher, gunned down during the robbery of an Angeleno Heights pot shop in June. Butcher, who worked at the Higher Path Holistic dispensary, was the son of city employees' union leader Julie Butcher, regional director of Service Employees International Union Local 721.

The at-large suspect was identified as Raymond Lemone Easter, 27. Police arrested another suspect, 31-year-old Daniel Hinton, last month. He faces murder and attempted murder charges in connection with the case. Two other suspects have not been identified by police. Three went into the shop and one stayed in a getaway car, authorities said. Butcher and a security guard were shot as the suspects exited the business, according to police.

The security guard was injured by survived the June 24 robbery in the 1300 block of Sunset Blvd.

Easter was charged Tuesday with murder and attempted murder. A special circumstance of robbery was added to the case.
