UPDATE on March 10: Planned Parenthood Los Angeles has decided to cancel the March 19 Food Fare event due to COVID-19 concerns.
 
In a statement PPLA said “Our priority is the safety of our event attendees and participants. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and hope you will join us at a future PPLA fundraiser.”

The annual Planned Parenthood Los Angeles fundraiser takes place on Thursday, March 19 at Santa Monica’s Barker Hangar and will honor Akasha Restaurant’s namesake, Akasha Richmond, as the 2020 Food Fare Chef of the Year.

PPLA is bringing together no less than 150 of L.A.’s best restaurants, including Michael’s Santa Monica, Milo and Olive, Rao’s, Lucques,  Socalo, Go Get Em Tiger, Canter’s and Clementine with plenty of beer, wine and spirits to raise funds to provide affordable, non-judgmental and confidential reproductive health care services to communities throughout Los Angeles County.
