78-Year-Old Dies after Fatal Crash on Mission Oaks Boulevard in Camarillo

CAMARILLO, CA (April 20, 2021) – Friday morning, Pilar Pizarro was killed, and three were hurt in a fatal crash on Adolfo Road and Mission Oaks Boulevard.

The incident happened shortly after 8:05 a.m., on April 16. Officers arrived at the intersection after receiving reports of a two-vehicle deadly accident.

According to police, a minivan was entering Adolfo Road while a box truck was heading south. There, the two vehicles collided for unknown reasons.

The minivan ended up on a sidewalk near a traffic light while the box truck sustained heavy front-end damage.

First responders arrived at the scene and found a female passenger dead at the scene. Police later identified the victim as 78-year-old Pilar Pizarro, of Camarillo.

In addition, paramedics rushed three more people with minor to moderate injuries to a hospital for treatment.

Furthermore, authorities partly closed off the intersection for a few hours during cleanup. An investigation is currently underway.
